Noitu Love: Devolution for Nintendo 3DS

About Noitu Love: Devolution for Nintendo 3DS

Noitu Love Devolution is a run and gun action game set in a future city kept safe by the Peacekeepers. When a robot army rises under a mad genius, young officer Xoda Rap steps up to fight through streets, towers and strange laboratories. The game began life as a celebration of classic action titles, and it wears that love openly, with big bosses, bright pixel art and a hero who never stops moving forward for long.

The clever twist is the aiming. Attacks follow your pointer, letting you strike enemies anywhere on screen while you dash, jump and dodge. On the 3DS the touch screen handles this naturally, making fights feel fast and free. Xoda can also transform with special forms that change how she fights, keeping the action fresh across the campaign. Levels are short and dense, built for replay and better scores. It is a small game with the heart of an arcade cabinet and the polish of a fan favorite.

For new owners, cartridges are the answer today. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. A physical cartridge from a retailer keeps things honest and simple, and boxed copies look great on a shelf too. Those who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games whenever they like.

It is a fine reminder of the handheld golden years.
