Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for Nintendo 3DS
About Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for Nintendo 3DS
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D is the Nintendo 3DS remake of the 1964 jungle mission that created the legend of Big Boss. Naked Snake drops into Soviet wilderness to rescue Sokolov and destroy the Shagohod, facing the Cobra Unit and his own mentor, the Boss, along the way. The remake keeps the beloved story intact while rebuilding the presentation around the depth screen, making foliage, distance and hiding spots easier to read.
New controls change the feel in welcome ways. Crouch walking, a modern camera and touch screen inventory make sneaking smoother than the original release allowed. The photo camouflage system is a playful 3DS touch, letting you build camo patterns from pictures taken with the system cameras. Survival systems remain central, from eating jungle wildlife for stamina to treating wounds by hand. It is both a faithful remake and the most personal version of a stealth classic.

Snake Eater 3D had a full boxed release and a demo history on the store. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, and complete boxed copies are prized by Metal Gear collectors. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, photo camo creations included.
Same legend, sharper senses and personal camo.
