Medarot Dual: Kabuto & Kuwagata Ver for Nintendo 3DS

About Medarot Dual: Kabuto & Kuwagata Ver for Nintendo 3DS

Medarot Dual takes the series in a more action oriented direction on Nintendo 3DS, again across Kabuto and Kuwagata versions. Instead of lone wandering, the focus falls on pairs, with two Medafighters teaming up and supporting each other through missions. The story keeps the school and rival flavor of the main games, but the structure is built around cooperative battles and faster pacing that set Dual apart from the numbered entries. The cast grows on you quickly, and short character scenes land well between missions.

Battles play with a more direct feel, where positioning and partner support matter alongside the usual part and medal choices. Building two Medabots that cover each other weaknesses is the core puzzle, and version exclusive parts give Kabuto and Kuwagata players different tools. Missions are shorter than main series chapters, which suits handheld play, while the collecting drive stays strong. Dual is an interesting branch that rewards fans willing to try a different Robattle rhythm.

Dual was a Japanese only release on 3DS. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible now. The honest way to play is a physical cartridge from a retailer who stocks imports, choosing your beetle version first. Owners who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so their partner teams and parts remain available to them.
