Medarot 9: Kabuto & Kuwagata Ver for Nintendo 3DS

About Medarot 9: Kabuto & Kuwagata Ver for Nintendo 3DS

Medarot 9 Kabuto and Kuwagata Ver names the two version set of the academy based ninth entry. New students arrive at school, receive their first Medabots and step into Robattles that connect to odd events around the grounds. The Kabuto version leans on the rhinoceros beetle theme and the Kuwagata version on the stag beetle theme, each with its own starter focus and exclusive parts that long time fans enjoy comparing and trading.

Gameplay follows the strong Medarot pattern of team Robattles, part roles and medal growth, tuned with the balance lessons of two earlier 3DS entries. Three on three battles reward planning, since part damage changes what a Medabot can do and the head part remains the weak point that ends a fight. Story scenes, club style rivalries and town trips fill the space between tournaments. It is the most complete form of the classic formula on the system.

The paired versions were Japanese boxed releases. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer who imports, picking the beetle version whose exclusives appeal most. Players who bought either version digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, keeping trades and team records with their accounts.

Pick your beetle and take the academy crown.
