Mario Golf World Tour for Nintendo 3DS

About Mario Golf World Tour for Nintendo 3DS

Mario Golf World Tour brings Mushroom Kingdom golf to Nintendo 3DS with courses that start on fair greens and end up in castles, deserts and the sky. You play as Mario characters or your own Mii, entering tournaments at the Castle Club and chasing trophies across themed cups. The golf itself is proper and readable, with wind, slopes and spin all mattering, but the settings and items keep the Mario flavor strong.

The swing system is simple to learn and hard to master, using the touch screen or buttons to set power and accuracy. Item shots let you freeze the ground, blast through obstacles or bend the ball flight in playful ways. Online tournaments and community matches were a headline feature, and local play plus quick rounds suit the handheld perfectly. Extra courses expanded the tour after launch, making this one of the fullest Mario sports packages on the system.

World Tour cartridges were widely sold and still turn up in sports bundles. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible today. The honest way to play is a physical cartridge from a retailer, while any extra courses bought earlier stay tied to the account that bought them. Golfers who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games and return to the Castle Club.
