Magi: Aratanaru Sekai for Nintendo 3DS
About Magi: Aratanaru Sekai for Nintendo 3DS
Magi Aratanaru Sekai, which means A Whole New World, is the second Nintendo 3DS game based on the Magi anime and manga. Aladdin, Alibaba and Morgiana continue their adventures in a world of dungeons, magic and kingdoms in conflict. This entry builds an original story around the themes of the series, with magoi, rukh and the power of kings and their vessels at its center. Fans get to travel with favorite characters through places inspired by the manga and its Arabian Nights flavor.
The game plays as an action role playing adventure, with dungeon exploring and battles against monsters and rivals. Characters use signature skills drawn from the series, like Alibaba and his swordsmanship and Aladdin and his magic. Djinn equipment and metal vessels give the party powerful forms for hard fights. Story scenes use art and voices close to the anime, keeping fans inside the world between battles. As a Japan only release, it is mainly a treat for Magi followers who collect the series and its games.

Collectors should keep one fact in mind. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. The sensible path is a physical cartridge bought from a retailer, a game shop or a seller with a clear returns policy. Longtime owners are fine too, because people who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games.
Fans of the system still count it among their quiet favorites.
