Made in Wario Gorgeous for Nintendo 3DS

About Made in Wario Gorgeous for Nintendo 3DS

Made in Wario Gorgeous is the Japanese title of WarioWare Gold, the largest collection in the series. Wario hosts a gaming tournament in Diamond City with a huge prize, mostly so he can pocket the entry fees himself. Players compete through leagues hosted by the classic WarioWare crew, from Jimmy T and his disco stage to 9 Volt and his Nintendo themed games. Between leagues, funny voiced scenes tell the story of the tournament and Wario and his latest greedy scheme, which naturally grows out of control.

The game packs more than three hundred microgames, mixing new ideas with favorites from across the whole series. One second you are tilting the system to balance, the next you are tapping, pressing buttons or twisting to pick a nose, pop a balloon or land a plane. Everything happens in seconds, and the speed rises until mistakes pile up. Extra modes include challenges, a toy room and missions that reward replay. Full voice acting in the story scenes gives the cast more personality than ever before in the series.

Finding this game now works differently than it once did. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. In practice this means choosing a physical cartridge from a retailer you trust, ideally one you can inspect before buying. Your old digital copy is not lost if you bought it in time, as owners can still access their purchased games today.

It stands as a good example of its genre on the handheld.
