Luigi Mansion 2 for Nintendo 3DS

About Luigi Mansion 2 for Nintendo 3DS

Luigi Mansion 2 is the name used in Japan and Europe for the second adventure of Mario and his cowardly brother, known elsewhere as Dark Moon. Professor E. Gadd calls Luigi back to Evershade Valley after the Dark Moon shatters and the friendly ghosts turn wild. Armed with the Poltergust 5000 vacuum, Luigi must explore several haunted mansions and recover the missing pieces. Luigi would rather be anywhere else, and his frightened reactions give the game endless charm. Each mansion has its own theme, from clockworks to overgrown conservatories.

Ghost hunting mixes exploring, puzzle solving and comic scares. You stun ghosts with a flash of light, then wrestle them into the vacuum while they drag Luigi around the room. The Strobulb and Dark Light tools reveal hidden objects and secret doors, rewarding careful searching of every dusty corner. Treasure, gems and Boos hide throughout each mansion for completionists. Mission based structure suits handheld play, and a multiplayer mode lets friends hunt ghosts together in the ScareScraper tower, floor after spooky floor.

There is an honest catch for new players. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. Physical copies still circulate through retailers and second hand shops, and a cartridge is the honest way to play today. Those who picked it up digitally before March 2023 can still access their purchased games on the system they used.

It earns its place in the long Nintendo 3DS story.
