Gunslugs 2 for Nintendo 3DS

About Gunslugs 2 for Nintendo 3DS

Gunslugs 2 brings back the scrappy soldiers of OrangePixel for another war against the Black Duck Army. The sequel expands the world with more varied places, from burning oil fields to alien tinged zones where the fight takes strange turns. The pixel art is richer this time and the action is even busier, with more enemies, vehicles and explosions on screen. Under the chaos sits the same simple and tough run and gun heart.

Stages are longer and mix ground combat with moments on trains and other moving platforms. New weapons and power ups appear often, and hidden areas reward players who check every corner. Boss fights close out regions with big targets that need pattern reading and quick feet. The changing stage layouts keep repeat runs fresh, and unlockable characters return for variety. Fans of the first game get more of everything, while new players can start right here.

Finding a copy today takes a little care. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible for Gunslugs 2. The honest way to play now is to look for a physical cartridge from a retailer or a trusted games shop. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system, just as before. Checking the cartridge label and box art before buying helps you be sure you have the right version for your region.

It remains a memorable part of the Nintendo 3DS library.
