Comic Workshop for Nintendo 3DS

About Comic Workshop for Nintendo 3DS

Comic Workshop turns the Nintendo 3DS into a friendly manga studio. It gives you the tools to build comic pages from scratch: panels to frame your scenes, speech bubbles for your characters, tones and effects for mood, and drawing tools to bring it all together. The interface is designed for the touch screen and stylus, so sketching a page feels natural even for complete beginners. Whether you dream of telling a full story or just want to doodle a funny strip, this little application makes starting easy and enjoyable.

You can draw freehand, place stamps and use guides that help with faces and layouts, which lowers the barrier for new artists. Saving multiple pages lets longer stories take shape, and sharing creations with friends adds motivation to finish each chapter. The tools stay simple on purpose, focusing on panels, bubbles and clean lines rather than overwhelming options. Many users treated it as a sketch diary, producing short comics about daily life. It is a calm and creative space that rewards patience and imagination more than raw drawing skill.

Niche creative applications like this are part of what made the 3DS library special. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. Physical copies were not the norm for this title, so earlier buyers hold most copies today. If you bought it digitally before the closure, you can still access their purchased games and applications on your system and keep drawing new pages.

Your first manga studio, right in your pocket.
