Cardfight!! Vanguard Ride to Victory!! for Nintendo 3DS

About Cardfight!! Vanguard Ride to Victory!! for Nintendo 3DS

Ride to Victory is the first Nintendo 3DS outing for the Cardfight Vanguard trading card game. It follows the early anime story of Aichi Sendou, a shy boy whose life changes when he receives the rare card Blaster Blade and steps into the world of Vanguard fights. You visit the card shop, meet Toshiki Kai and other early rivals and enter tournaments that grow in fame and difficulty. For Japanese fans, it captured the opening chapter of a card phenomenon in playable form.

Every duel uses the genuine rules of the card game. Ride a stronger Vanguard each turn, call rear guards, boost attacks and guard wisely, since six damage means defeat. Trigger checks add famous moments of luck that can flip a close fight. Your deck grows as you win cards and buy packs in the shop, letting you follow a favorite clan like Royal Paladin or Kagero. Story duels teach the rules step by step, so even new players of the era could learn the real game by playing.

This first series entry is now an import cartridge hunt. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play today is a physical cartridge from a retailer who handles Japanese releases. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. Japanese hardware is required, and the game text is Japanese throughout the story.

It is where the Vanguard handheld story first began.
