Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay for Nintendo 3DS

About Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay for Nintendo 3DS

Big Hero 6 Battle in the Bay brings the beloved team of young heroes to the handheld in an action adventure set in San Fransokyo. A villain with an army of robots threatens the city, and Hiro, Baymax, Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Fred each bring their own powers to the fight. The game keeps the warmth and humor that made the film a favorite with families everywhere.

Each hero plays differently, so stages encourage switching between them to match the challenge ahead. One is fast, one is strong, one glides and supports the team in his own way. Levels mix platforming with light combat against waves of robots, and the difficulty stays friendly for younger players. Fans of the film get a cheerful extra adventure with the whole team together, told in a bright comic style. The sound design deserves a mention too, with music and effects that give each scene its own mood without ever becoming annoying.

Buying Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay today takes a little patience. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge bought from a retailer or a trusted game shop. People who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system, so long time owners have not lost their copies.

Handheld gaming at its most charming and personal.
