Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag for Nintendo Wii U

About Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag for Nintendo Wii U

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag sails the series into the golden age of piracy. You play Edward Kenway, a daring Welsh pirate captain chasing gold and glory across the Caribbean in the early seventeen hundreds. Edward stumbles into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, but his heart belongs to the sea and the fortune waiting on it. Cities like Havana and Kingston mix with jungles, forts and hidden coves. It is a huge adventure about freedom, greed and the price of chasing a legend.

The heart of the game is your ship, the Jackdaw. You sail open seas, hunt enemy ships in thrilling naval battles, board them for their cargo and upgrade your vessel into a floating fortress. On land you get the classic climbing, sneaking and sword fighting the series is known for, plus whale hunting, treasure maps and underwater wrecks to explore. Sea shanties sung by your crew make even long voyages joyful.

Today this game lives on through physical copies, because the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023 and new digital purchases are no longer possible. Look for the disc at a retailer that handles older games. If you were one of the players who bought it digitally before the closure, you can still access your purchased games whenever you like. That keeps early supporters playing while giving new fans a clear and honest path in.

Few Wii U games do quite what this one does.
