Art of Balance for Nintendo Wii U

About Art of Balance for Nintendo Wii U

Art of Balance is a calm looking puzzle game that will quietly test your nerves. Your job sounds simple: stack a set of shapes on a platform floating above water, then keep the tower standing for a few seconds. In practice, every block has its own weight and behavior, and one careless placement sends the whole pile splashing down. The clean visuals and soft music make it feel peaceful, which only makes the tension funnier when your tower starts to wobble at the very last second.

New shape types keep changing the rules as you progress. Some blocks crumble after a while, some are heavy, some are light, and some only survive a few seconds of contact. Hundreds of puzzles across different worlds give the idea plenty of room to grow. A cooperative mode lets friends stack together, which usually ends in laughter and friendly blame. It is easy to learn in one minute and hard to put down an hour later. Few puzzle games balance calm and panic this well.

Since the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, new digital purchases are no longer possible for this title. These days the sensible route is a physical disc from a retailer, new or second hand. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so long time owners lose nothing. Checking the disc condition and case before you buy is always a smart move with older Wii U releases like this one.

A fine choice for your next game night.
