3D Classics: Kid Icarus brings back the NES adventure of Pit, a young angel warrior fighting to save Angel Land. The goddess Palutena is imprisoned, Medusa commands an army of monsters, and Pit must climb from the dark underworld through the world of humans up into the sky to set things right. This version keeps the original quest intact while adding gentle visual depth and richer backdrops that make the long climb feel fresh again.

The journey changes shape as you rise. Early stages scroll upward as you jump between platforms and shoot snakes and reapers with your bow. Fortress stages turn into maze like hunts for bosses, and flying stages near the end play like a shooter. Collecting hearts buys upgrades, training rooms grant new weapons, and every rescued centurion helps in the big fights. It is a demanding classic, but a rewarding one. The 3D Classics version also softens the old difficulty with a friendlier save system, so new players can learn the fortresses without starting over.

Angel Land is reached by cartridge these days. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, ending new digital purchases for the remake.
